Ruman Will Gamble for Her First Trans-Am Win at HARRAH's Autobahn Grand Prix -- Trans-Am Round 7

Munroe Falls, OH -- Amy Ruman has landed on the Trans-Am podium two times this season, but is still trying to capture her first Trans-Am career win. Ruman will pilot her #23 McNichols Co./ Goodyear/ Cenweld Chevrolet Corvette in Round 7 of the SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Championship Series in the HARRAH's Autobahn Grand Prix presented by MAZDA this weekend. Ruman is coming off a 3rd place finish at the Honda Indy Streets of Toronto Trans-Am event.

The 19 turn, 3.56 mile circuit is located in Joliet, IL at the Autobahn Country Club facility. This will be Ruman's first time running the track. Along with the Trans-Am Series, the weekend will also feature six other racing series' -- Star Mazda, Mustang Challenge, Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup, Cooper Tires USF2000, and the Porsche Cayman Interseries.

"I'm looking forward to running another new track this season. It should be a very interesting race as it is a long track with 19 turns. I have a feeling I am going to be very busy!" exclaimed Ruman. "We have been fast all season, so I am going to use this momentum and try to get us a win this weekend."

Ruman will take to the track starting Thursday and will be participating in a promoters test day. The official event will begin on Friday with two practice sessions, followed by one qualifying session on Saturday, and the race on Sunday will be at 3:00pm CT/4:00 pm ET.
