Shared information keeps Don Sak in the hunt at Denver.
Denver - August 30, 2002 - A jubilant Don Sak climb out of the #10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette as the Trans Am cars put finished the morning practice session and the first laps on this new temporary street course in the Mile High City, Denver.
"Great!" said Don... "I've got some work to do improving my line, but I'm really pleased with the car. I was able to establish the same comfort level that I found at Road America, thanks to the great job of the crew. They are really getting this thing down pat. As a driver, it's nice to have the confidence of knowing the car is right."
By the end of the afternoon session, Sak and the #10 Revolution Motorsport Corvette were running with the best of them. After running four or five laps with current P1, Boris Said, Don passed on the secret to his quick learning curve.
"Stu [Hayner] and I spent some time after the morning session reviewing the in car video tapes," he said. "I was able to pick up quite a bit. Not only from seeing Stu's quick line, but also the bad lines of some of the cars we followed. We tried to look at each corner to see where and if we could pick up time."
The shared information must have worked well. Sak was able to improve over his morning time and ran a 1:16.080 in the afternoon. He picked up over two seconds to finish P11 for the day.
