Paul Fix and the No. Stopflex.com/CarCoach/RoyalPurple/Well-Worth Chevrolet Corvette continued to roll up points and progress towards a Trans Am championship. For the third consecutive race, Fix will start from the pole position for Sunday’s race at New Jersey Motorsports Park. By lapping the Thunderbolt circuit quickest, Fix received one bonus point to narrow the points difference to first in the standings from a deficit of 12 points to now just 11 points.
“The crew at Tony Ave Racing gave me a blistering fast race car today,” said Fix of his qualifying effort. “We improved upon our practice session times and have hit on a race day setup that will really shine in this abnormal Northeast hot weather conditions.”
Fix will once again start from the front row and expectations are for another victory as a follow up to Fix’s recent Lime Rock Park win. The team is poised to advance in the season standings as the schedule takes root for the second half of competition.
“I intend to achieve every point possible in these coming events,” noted Fix. “Every weekend of racing provides an opportunity to put the other drivers further behind us in the chase for a championship trophy.”
The Trans Am Series will race at New Jersey Motorsports Park on Sunday, June 14, with the MPT Fuel Systems Cleanse 100, featuring TA at 3:10 p.m. to complete Round 5 of the 2015 Trans Am Championship.
