Stu Hayner qualifies for the fast five.

Mansfield, Ohio June 28, 2002 This week the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup races at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for Mid-Ohio Grand Prix on June 29.The race will air at 4pm EST on CBS (same day tape delay).

The series driver's were handed an additional challenge at this week's event due to the same day practice/qualifying schedule. The morning's practice session was scheduled for ½ hour. Unfortunately, two black flags made it even shorter.

Stu Hayner's #02 Trenton Forging/Revolution Motorsports Corvette was exceptionally quick. "The car was fast ," said Stu. "I had a power steering failure but it didn't slow us down. All-in-all, the morning session was good. In the afternoon qualifying, I felt I was a little down on power--. the car just didn't seem to have the snap off the corners. But I'll take where we're at and we'll make it better by morning," he added.

"We tried some different things on Bobby's [Sak] #10 Revolution Motorsports/Trenton Forging/Missingkids.com Corvette," said crew chief, Shane Duhaime. "We're smart enough to know we missed ---- he added, laughing. "We'll put it back tonight and have him good to go tomorrow."

Stu Hayner will start Saturday's race in 5th position and Bobby Sak will start 11th.

In association with Trenton Forging, Revolution Motorsports will campaign two 2002 Chevrolet Corvettes in this weekend's Mid-Ohio Grand Prix and the duration of the 2002 Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Tires Cup.

Revolution Motorsports competes as part of the Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Tires Cup. All events are nationally televised on CBS and SPEED channel (formerly Speedvision). The Trans-Am Series is the oldest form of American sports car racing. You can find out more at www.trans-amseries.com.
