Siebens Joins SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series as Public Relations Manager
TOPEKA, Kan. (April 13, 2010) -- Sports Car Club of America, Inc. today announced that Nate Siebens has been named public relations manager of the SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series for the 2010 season.
Siebens is a 14-year veteran of motorsports media and public relations, including public relations stints with sanctioning bodies such as CART/Champ Car and GRAND-AM. He began his career in motorsports in 1996 with IndyCar Racing Magazine.
"I've been fortunate to see a great deal of exciting Trans-Am racing action through my years in motorsport, and I am excited to be a part of the series' next chapter under the SCCA umbrella," said Siebens. "The 2010 Trans-Am Series schedule brings the series to a bunch of great venues and I'm looking forward to a great season. I'm obviously grateful to SCCA for giving me this opportunity."
Siebens founded his own company, LCS Public Relations, in 2007. Through his company, Siebens will oversee public relations efforts for the Trans-Am Series, working in concert with SCCA's in-house public relations staff. His duties include feature articles, press releases and media materials for Trans-Am.
"We're very excited to have Nate Siebens lead the communications effort for the Trans-Am Series," SCCA Pro Racing VP, Marketing & Communications Eric Prill said. "The wealth of experience he brings to the position is exactly what the series needs in a year of considerable growth and transition."
The SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series returns for its 43rd season in 2010. Featuring ground-pounding, 800 horsepower, purpose-built Corvettes, Jaguars and Mustangs today, the series' past champions include iconic road racing names like Mark Donohue, Parnelli Jones, Peter Gregg, Scott Pruett, Tommy Kendall and Paul Gentilozzi.
