LANSING, Mich. -- The Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup has launched a completely redesigned web site, www.trans-amseries.com. Today's launch also marks the official unveiling of the new Trans-Am Series logo.
"New leadership in Paul Gentilozzi, an altogether new look and feel to our web site and a new logo showcase the Trans-Am Series' focus on the future," said Trans-Am Series Executive Director John Clagett. "We designed our new web site with our fans, competitors and sponsors in mind, and hope to offer them a positive and productive online experience.
"Our new logo illustrates the Trans-Am Series as North America's premier production-based road racing series," added Clagett. "The logo is one aspect of an integrated marketing approach designed to grow and expand fan interest and loyalty, service our current marketing partners in an effective manner and seek out new sponsors. The logo denotes a move forward, while maintaining the Trans-Am Series' rich history."
The web site, built by noted motorsports web design firm Creative Communications Group, offers many new features, including breaking news, driver biographical information and "The Paddock," which allows competitors to download required forms and applications.
John Thawley President of Creative Communications Group, who also designed the new series logo, said: "The objective was to modernize and inject some excitement into the Trans-Am Series logo, while maintaining the Series' heritage," said Thawley. "The overall web site design objective is to have an elegant, informative representation of the series and its activities." More information on the Trans-Am Series is available at www.trans-amseries.com.
The Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup sanctions closed-fendered, production-based V-8-powered sports car racing. The Trans-Am Series is America's oldest continuously running sports car racing series and celebrates its 38th anniversary in 2003.
