Revolution Motorsports brings Missingkids.com program to Wisconsin

DETRIOT - August 15, 2002 - Revolution Motorsports, along with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) continues their unique partnership in aiding the search for missing children. The program is designed to locate missing kids through exposure on the racecar and in the media.

In 2001, the team's participation was elevated into the spotlight when a 7-year old Michigan girl, featured on the hood of driver Don Sak's [now Revolution Motorsports] car at the Detroit Grand Prix, was returned to her father. It was believed that a tip from a race fan led authorities to Mexico where the child had been taken.

Just this week, The Columbus Dispatch reported that three missing Ohio girls have been returned to their father. The girls, Brittany, Kaitlynn and Tiffany Blackmon, were reunited with their father and grandparents at a Greyhound Bus Terminal. Their mother, Laura Blackmon, is now in Fairfield County jail. She is accused of taking the girls during a visitation in January.

The Blackmon girls were featured on the hood of the #10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette at the Mid-Ohio Grand Prix and the Cleveland Grand Prix in July.

For this weekend's Johnson Controls 100 at Road America, the #10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette will carry the picture of a missing Milwaukee girl, Alexis Patterson.

Alexis is seven years old, 3'8" and weighs 42lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes. Alexis was last seen on May 3, 2002 when she was dropped off for school. She was wearing a red hooded jacket with gray stripes, a purple shirt, blue jeans and white Nike tennis shoes. She has a scar under her right eye and bump on her left pinky finger.

Revolution Motorsports and the Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Tires Cup are at the Road America sports car course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The event, the 2002 Trans-Am Johnson Controls100, runs in conjunction with CART as part of the Motorola 220. The Trans-Am race will air on SPEED Channel at noon EST, Sunday August 18.

In association with Trenton Forging, Revolution Motorsports competes as part of the Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Tires Cup.
