TORONTO, Ontario, (July 10, 2004) -- Three-time Motorock Trans-Am Series Champion, Paul Gentilozzi, manhandled his No. 3 Jaguar XKR to a fourth place finish in the Trans-Am in T.O. Gentilozzi took the green flag in Saturdays race while on pit road. Gentilozzi powered through the field taking the lead on lap 22. Rocketsports teammate Tomy Drissi continued to impress as he drove the No. 5 Dodgeball -- The Movie Jaguar XKR to his third top-5 finish this year. Pole setter, Tommy Kendall, dominated the first 25 laps but gave the lead to Gentilozzi after mechanical issues force the No. 11 Jaguar R Performance XKR in the pits. Jorge Diaz went on to victory driving a Rocketsports built Jaguar XKR. This was Diaz's first ever Trans-Am win.

Gentilozzi drove from the back of the field after changing tires prior to the start of the race. He quickly moved through the field and led nine laps. After setting a new one lap track record of 1:12.149 something broke underneath the car and forced him out of the lead. Gentilozzi drove the injured car to a fourth place finish, and maintains the series point lead with 121 points. "This was fun," commented Gentilozzi. "The car was good and allowed me to work my way through the field. Something broke and I hit the tires allowing Diaz to get by. After that I had to drive more conservative which let Randy and Ron catch up and get by."

Drissi again proved he is chasing the championship. Driving Dodgeball -- The Movie Jaguar to a fifth place finish, Drissi moves to 5th in points with 100, just 21 out of first place. Saturdays Trans-Am race marks his first visit to the 1.755 mile Toronto street course. "Consistency is the key to winning," said Drissi. "These top-5 finishes are what we must do to win races and the championship."

Four-time series champion, Kendall, proved that the Jaguar production based AJ-V8 engine is stout. After leading the field to the green flag, Kendall set the pace and led 18 laps. Kendall's hopes for a second win in Toronto were high until the oil pump seized and ended his day early. "The car was awesome early on, both the engine and the handling," said Kendall. "The track did get slippery but we were in great shape and I was running a smooth pace. We picked up a miss and shortly after that the oil pump went bad, and that was it."

Paul Gentilozzi -- 1st w/121 points
Tommy Kendall -- 4th w/ 101 points
Tomy Drissi -- 5th w/ 100 points
