CAMERON DODSON AND CARL EDWARDS/ R.E. TECHNOLOGIES RACING HOPE TO IMPROVE BY ONE AT CHICAGOLAND

Memphis, Tenn. -- Cameron Dodson and the Carl Edwards/ R.E. Technoogies Racing team have one goal this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway and that is winning. The team is coming off a strong run at Richmond International Raceway.

"We are pumped up for Chicagoland after our performance at Richmond," said Cameron Dodson, driver of the No. 199 Carl Edwards/ R.E. Technologies Ford, Hoosier Tires, Red Line Oil USAC Silver Crown0x2122 car. "We had the fastest car there. Our goal this weekend is to score a win for the team. Hopefully we can make that happen."

Dodson was on the loud pedal at Richmond but a cut tire forced him to the pits. Two laps later the Indiana native was back on the track and passing cars. He finished 9th following winner Brian Tyler across the line. This weekend the team brings that car and notes that scored them a second place finish at Chicagoland in 2006. Last season, co-owner Carl Edwards spotted and coached driver Pete Shepherd to his best career Silver Crown finish at Chicagoland. With the past success at the 1.5 mile oval and the team's strong cars, Cameron Dodson expects nothing but the best.

"Our Larry Wallace Ford has been strong this season and with a good setup that team manager Chris Santucci and the team puts together on our car, we hopefully will have a good chance of winning."

The "USG Fiberock 100" is scheduled to go green approximately 6pm Friday afternoon July 13th at Chicagoland Speedway.

POINTS UPDATE
The No. 199 Carl Edwards/ R.E. Technologies Ford, Hoosier Tires, Red Line Oil entry leads the USAC Silver Crown Series owner's points by 29 over the No. 00 of Reutiman Motorsports headed into Chicagoland. Cameron Dodson sits in 8th in the driver's points race. He is only 12 points out of 5th despite not driving in the season opener at Manzanita Speedway.
