SEPTEMBER 20 RACE AT ANDERSON SPEEDWAY ADDED TO MIDWEST/INDIANA FORD FOCUS CALENDAR

Anderson (Ind.) Speedway will host a USAC Midwest/Indiana Ford Focus racing program on Saturday night, September 20, it was announced today by USAC and Anderson Speedway race organizer Rick Dawson.

A 40-lap feature event will cap the racing program which will offer points toward both the 2008 USAC Midwest and Indiana Ford Focus Series championships.

Anderson Speedway has a great tradition of USAC racing having hosted 128 events since 1960. A.J. Foyt won the opener and in the past six years has witnessed 24 Ford Focus races. Kyle Hamilton and Steven Mathews have won twice there this year, while Alison MacLeod won there July 9.

Hamilton, of Danville, Ind. currently leads both the Midwest and Indiana series standings. He is 93 points ahead of Jordan Pennington in the Midwest tally and has a 155-point lead over Mathews in the Indiana standings.
