CONCORD AND ROSEVILLE HOST FOCUS RACES; WINS TO LIGUORI (2), FUETTE, LEWIS, FARLEY, COOMES & PROCK

USAC's Eastern/Carolina and Western Pavement Ford Focus and Focus Young Guns will see action this week. Wednesday's Eastern/Carolina events are at the Concord (N.C.) Speedway and Saturday's Western events are at the All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif.

Joe Liguori of Tampa, Fla. extended his lead in the 2010 USAC Midwest Ford Focus Series Friday night, winning the 20-lap feature at Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway with a last-lap pass of leader Jessica Bean. Bean finished second after leading the first 19 laps of the race. Following Liguori's Pit Stop Bar-B-Q/C & R Racing Beast and Bean were Kyle O'Gara, Jake Blackhurst and Eric Rankine. Liguori won again Saturday night, leading all 20 laps at Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway in his Pit Stop B-B-Q & Grill Beast. O'Gara finished second ahead of Brunson Behning, Bean and Ross Rankine.

Gregg Fuette of West Valley City, Utah led all 20 laps to grab the winner's trophy in Saturday night's USAC Western/Utah Ford Focus feature at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City. Series point leader Michael Daniels finished second ahead of Guy Sainsbury, Chuck Groat and Ron Duncombe.

Michael Lewis of Laguna Beach, Calif. and Austin Farley of Brighton, Colo. scored feature victories in Saturday night's USAC Ford Focus racing program at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, Calif. Lewis won the 40-lap Western Ford Focus race over Bobby Runyan, Eli Schrock, Farley and Shawn Buckley. Farley came back to lead all 20 laps of the Focus Young Guns feature to beat Brandon White, Jimmy Moon and Jarid Blondel.

Wednesday night's USAC Eastern/Carolina Ford Focus and Young Guns feature events at Concord (N.C.) Speedway were won by Eric Coomes and Austin Prock respectively. Coomes, of Concord, led all 40 laps to win the Ford Focus race over Nick Drake, Justin Hommel, Jarett Andretti and Tyler Cottongim. In the 25-lap Young Guns race, Prock, of Avon, Ind., led all the way to beat Jesse Little, Ryan Ayers and Adam Brown.
