FOCUS MIDGETS HEAD FOR VENTURA, TULSA, SOUTH BOSTON
MICHNOWICZ TOPS BAKERSFIELD 20-LAPPER

Bobby Michnowicz of Harbor City, Calif. will lead the California Ford Focus Dirt Series to Ventura (Calif.) Raceway this Saturday night as part of a USAC doubleheader also featuring the Western Midgets on the 1/5-mile dirt oval.

Michnowicz won Saturday night's 20-lap feature at the Bakersfield (Calif.) Speedway in his Michnowicz/Zoriki machine. He trailed Chase Barber for the first two laps, then led the rest of the way to score the victory over Barber, Robbie Whitchurch, Cal Smith and Jake Vail.

The USAC Carolina/Virginia and Oklahoma Ford Focus Series also resume this weekend, with feature events at Tulsa (Okla.) Speedway and South Boston (Va.) Speedway. The respective series point leaders are Chase Scott (Carolina/Virginia) and Dustin Morgan (Oklahoma).
