CARQUEST SILVER BULLET TEAM TO COMPETE ON LIVE TV WEDNESDAY

INDIANAPOLIS (August 4, 1999) - J.J. Yeley and the CARQUEST-sponsored USAC Coors Light Silver Bullet team will race in front of the Live cameras of ESPN2 Wednesday night, August 4th at the DuPont 100 at Indianapolis Raceway Park. The event kicks off the Kroger Speedfest at the .686 mile IRP oval.

Yeley, 22, of Phoenix, enters the DuPont 100 with a freshened CARQUEST chassis. At the last USAC Coors Light Silver Bullet Series event July 30th at Gateway International Raceway, a broken front hub sent Yeley into the wall during practice. Yeley had to resort to a loaned car for the race while the CARQUEST car was sent back to Indianapolis to be fixed.

"We had to put a new front clip on the car for this week's race," Yeley said. "Meanwhile I finished the St. Louis race with a car borrowed from a competitor. With our primary pavement car back in action Wednesday night, we're confident we'll be back in the hunt for the feature win."

Practice for the USAC DuPont 100 is schedule to begin at 3 p.m. (CDT). Qualifying is set for 5 p.m., followed by a 15-lap qualifying race, then the 100-lap feature at 8 p.m.

ESPN2 will televised 2 hours of Live coverage from the DuPont 100 beginning at 8 p.m. (CDT). Yeley's CARQUEST Silver Bullet ride will be equipped with the CARQUEST Cage Cam for the event.
