Indianapolis Raceway Park will host "QMA Night" honoring members of the Quarter Midgets of America August 2 as the USAC Coors Light Silver Bullet Series returns to the .686-mile paved oval for the "J.D. Byrider 100."
Officials of USAC and IRP have announced that QMA members will be honored throughout the evening, with QMA drivers admitted free when they present their official QMA drivers card. Adult QMA members also receive a $5.00 discount with their member or alternate handler card.
A special autograph session featuring the stars of the Coors Light Silver Bullet Series will take place on the front stretch immediately following qualifying at 6 pm. Throughout the evening, USAC and track officials will conduct pit tours for QMA members.
NASCAR Winston Cup star Tony Stewart, who swept the USAC "Triple Crown" in 1995, winning all three National championships, is officially entered to drive the J.D. Byrider Silver Bullet car in the night's USAC racing program. Stewart owns a total of 10 USAC victories at IRP, including wins in all three National series.
Spectator gates are slated to open at 3 pm, with USAC qualifying at 5 and racing at 7. For further information, QMA members can call the QMA National Office at USAC at (317) 248-9778.
