CARL EDWARDS/ R.E. TECHNOLOGIES RACING LOOKS FOR TOP FIVE AT RICHMOND

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- June 27, 2007 -- Carl Edwards/ R.E. Technologies Racing heads to Richmond International Raceway for the USAC Silver Crown Series 100 with the goal of another top five finish for Cameron Dodson and the No. 199 Ford powered/ Red Line Oil/ Hoosier Tires Silver Crown car.

So far this season, the team has racked up four top five finishes and a sixth place finish at the series most recent event at Darlington Raceway. Driver Cameron Dodson and the crew are confident coming into this weekend. Dodson, a rookie in the series now has five races under his belt. The Indiana resident will get extra track time this weekend. In addition to his Silver Crown duties, Dodson will drive the No. 67 sprint car for Keith Kunz this weekend. Kunz's team is currently sitting second in the USAC National Sprint Car Series owner's points. Cameron Dodson should also benefit from some road course track time. Dodson drove his team co-owner's Porsche and Mazda Miata during testing a few weeks ago at Memphis Motorsports Park.

NUTS AND BOLTS

This weekend the No. 199 will be powered by a Larry Wallace Ford. Following the break after Darlington, the Carl Edwards/ R.E. Technologies Racing team went over the No. 199 in detail to prepare the car for the next stretch of pavement races. The No. 199 was joined in the shop by the No. 21 Team Six-R owned car driven by Brian Tyler. While in the shop, the No. 21 also received some TLC and a new paint job.

SHEPHERD IN MEMPHIS

Last season Peter Shepherd finished 6th at Richmond behind the wheel of the No. 199. This weekend, the Carl Edwards/ R.E. Technologies Racing alum will make his second start at Memphis in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driving the No. 50 Northern Tool + Equipment F-150 in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 200. Coverage begins at 8:30pm Saturday night on SPEED.

POINTS UPDATE

The No. 199 Carl Edwards/ R. E. Technologies Racing entry leads the USAC Silver Crown Series Owners points coming into Richmond this weekend. Cameron Dodson is sixth in drivers points despite missing the season opener at Manzanita.

RICHMOND SCHEDULE

The SunTrust Indy Challenge weekend presented by XM gets underway with the first USAC Silver Crown practice session rolling off at 2pm eastern Friday afternoon. Qualifying is scheduled for 6:15pm. The series is scheduled to have a final practice session Saturday at 2:30pm. The USAC Silver Crown Series 100 is scheduled to go green at 5:15pm.
