Jessup Ready For Hulman Classic at Terre Haute

CAMBY, Ind. -- Marc Jessup will compete this weekend in the 34th Tony Hulman Classic at the Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Indiana. Jessup will be aboard his F5 Chassis for Jessup Racing along with Bill Davis. The Hulman Classic is one of the most prestigious races on the USAC/Valvoline National Sprint Car circuit.

Jessup ran a local non-wing sprint car show at the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana to learn more about his new car. After wining his heat, mechanical problems plagued Jessup in the feature event.

"We started in the fourth row, got up to 5th, and ran there the entire race until the last lap, when a bolt came out of the right front lower radius rod and caused me to spin," said Jessup. "We did learn a whole lot about the new car and that should play a big role going into Terre Haute this weekend."

Jessup finished 16th during his last appearance at Terre Haute in 2003 during the Fall Harvest Classic. Jessup tested this spring at Terre Haute and hopes that the laps will pay off with a strong run at the Action Track.
