WESTERN SPRINTS AT MADERA OCTOBER 24; SWANSON WINS AGAIN AT STOCKTON 99
Tanner Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif., hot on the heels of his fifth series victory, will lead the USAC Western Sprint cars to Madera (Calif.) Speedway October 24 for the third annual "Pumpkin Smash Halloween Bash and Blow Up." The event also features the USAC California Ford Focus Pavement Midget series.
Tanner Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif. grabbed the lead from Chase Scott on lap 16 and never looked back as he led the final 35 laps to win Saturday night's 50-lap USAC Western Sprint car feature at Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway in his TK Motorsports entry. Kody Swanson finished second ahead of Scott Pierovich, Tony Hunt and Audra Sasselli. The win enhanced Swanson's point lead, which stands at 133 over Helberg.
Tanner and Kody Swanson own victories in the last two USAC Sprint races at the Madera oval.
