V8 Ute Drivers ready to "Play on the Plains" at Deni

Drivers from the 2010 Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series - protected by Armor All will once again be making an appearance at the famous Deniliquin Ute Muster over the New South Wales long weekend 1 - 2 October.

The Deniliquin Ute Muster now holds two world records in the Guinness Book of Records including the title for the largest parade of legally registered Utes (in 2008 they reached over 7,000) and the largest gathering of people wearing shearers blue singlets with a tally of 2,230 people.

V8 Ute drivers attending the Muster include: Kim Jane, Thirsty Camel Racing's Craig Dontas, ISRI Truck Seats Steve Hodges and Ice Break Racing's Chris Pither.

Bob Jane T-Marts driver Kim Jane will be returning to the Deni Ute Muster for his third year in a row and can't get enough of the "Play on the Plains Festival".

"I love coming to Deni. The atmosphere is always fantastic, the people are great and the entertainment is first class every year, it's always a great way to prepare before heading to Bathurst," said Jane.

The drivers will head to Mount Panorama the following week to compete for glory in Round 6 of the series at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

Ice Break Racing's Chris Pither is excited to have a stop on the way to the big race.

"I've heard great things about Deni and I'm really looking forward to attending the event. With this being my first Bathurst in a V8 Ute I will be listening to what the other guys have to say over the weekend," said Pither.

The drivers will have their race-utes on display for all enthusiasts to see. Gary "Chuckie" Baxter, Nandi "Mr Damage" Kiss and the 2009 Bathurst round winning car of Gary MacDonald will also be on display.

The drivers will be busy over the weekend conducting signing sessions, Ice Break stage talks with Channel Seven V8 Ute Co-Commentator Matthew Mackelden, and judging The Australian National Circle Work Championships at the Deni Freighters Sports Arena as well as presenting prizes to the winners of the famous competition.

Make sure you head over to the V8 Ute Display and sign-up to the V8 Ute Fan Club for your chance to win one of three prizes including a Hot Lap in a V8 Ute.
