V8 Utes out and about in Darwin

The Sky City Triple Crown event in Darwin next week is set to be a busy time for the Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series - protected by Armor All with plenty of off-track activity to keep everyone entertained.

Fans of Australian Motor Racing and the V8 Ute Series are in for a big treat in Darwin, notably Thursday June 17 when nineteen of the best V8 Ute drivers take part in an array of promotional activities across the Northern Territory's capital.

From swimming with crocodiles to V8 Ute Displays, the V8 Ute contingent will be out in force throughout the Hidden Valley event to showcase this fantastic category within the public arena. Activities include driver autograph signing sessions, V8 Ute Party and V8 Ute displays at three major venues in Darwin (further details below).

The V8 Ute drivers will kick-start the week at Hoggs Breathe Cafe to watch the Blues take on the Maroons in the second state of origin match.

Last year's Champion Jack Elsegood and Warren "Battla" Millet will literally be thrown in the deep end when they go for a leisurely swim with the crocodiles at Darwin's Crocosaurus Cove! Don't believe it? Come see for yourself at 12.00pm.

Elsegood will also make an appearance at the official Coopers Party at the Tap Bar on the Thursday night.

Friday night will see six of your favourite V8 Ute driver's head the Wisdom Bar for the Official V8 Ute Party where fans are invited to get up-close-and-personal and meet their favourite Ute drivers before major racing commences on Saturday.

If you are heading to the track to watch all of the action of the 2010 Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series – protected by Armor All then make sure you stop by the V8 Ute Paddock to meet some of the drivers (see below signing session times).

All these events are open to the public who are encouraged to head down, get involved and experience the excitement before a big weekend of door to door racing action.
