KNIGHT KEEN TO STEP FORWARD AGAIN AT HAMILTON

After an impressive season in the BNT V8s Championship Christchurch driver Andy Knight will be looking to continue his good form at the non -championship Trophy Race at the Hamilton 400 this weekend.

In just his second season in the category Knight took his Radio Live Falcon to a top ten finish at every round of the series as he continues his transition from one of the country's top single seater racing car drivers to one of its top saloon competitors.

Andy's championship season saw him seal seventh place in the hard fought series and he is looking for even more at Hamilton.

"I want to improve from where we were in the championship and make another step forward. We've done a fair bit of work and we are hoping it will make a difference."

Andy and the other competitors in the category will have a 30 minute test session around the testing 3.4 kilometre street circuit on Friday morning before qualifying at 12.45pm on Friday afternoon. Race 1 of the weekend, over 12 laps is scheduled for 11.00am on Saturday before two more races on Sunday, the first over 12 laps at 9.15am and the finale at 1.15pm over 16 laps.

Andy Knight is supported by Radio Live, Milwaukee Power Tools, John Jones Steel, Century Yuasa and the Latimer Hotel.
