Fujitsu: David Wall to race the WSR Fujitsu Series entry

Two time Australian GT champion (2009, 2010) David Wall will join the Fujitsu Series field this year as a part of the expanding Wilson Security Racing operation.

Following impressive performances in last year's V8 Supercar endurance rounds with Karl Reindler, the 27-year old is looking forward to stepping into his WSR entry for the seven Fujitsu Series rounds slated for 2011.

"It's a fantastic opportunity and I'm really looking forward to taking the next step in my career. I've enjoyed racing in the V8 endurance rounds the last couple of years, so stepping into the Fujitsu Series is a natural progression," said Wall.

"Wilson Security is a great supporter of young drivers and I'm appreciative of the opportunity to be a part of Wilson Security Racing this year," he added.

Wall's WSR entry will be prepared by Tony D'Alberto Racing, which will also be home to the WSR V8 Supercar. In addition to Wilson Security, major support will come from Paynter Dixon, while Astrontech, Payce and Recall will also feature on the car.

The expanded WSR team is currently preparing for a busy start to the year with next week's V8 Supercars test day, followed by round one in Abu Dhabi and a full team launch shortly after, which will include the unveiling of striking new liveries for D'Alberto and Wall prior to Clipsal.

Wilson Security CEO John McMellan welcomed Wall to the WSR team and the Fujitsu Series seat, saying, "David is a very talented young driver with a proven track record in other categories. We've backed him in the past and it's good to help him with his entry into the Fujitsu Series.

"We expect David to be very competitive. The Wilson Security Racing expansion in 2011 is an exciting one with both David and Tony being two young drivers on the rise."

Further details on Wall's car will be announced at a team launch in early March.
