Despite some handling difficulties, Team BOC's Jason Bright bounced back from 13th in qualifying for race one at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide to a solid 4th for race two.
With strong pace in the three preceding practice sessions, the Team BOC VF Commodore looked set for a strong run in qualifying one but a final sector mistake pushed him back to 13th for race one tomorrow.
There was no time to linger on that result though, because, with just ten minutes between sessions, the focus immediately turned to qualifying for race 2.
This time there was no mistake, Bright put the Team BOC Commodore in a solid 4th, giving him a strong platform for tomorrow's twilight race.Race one tomorrow starts at 16.20 ACST with race two commencing at 18.50.
Jason Bright:
"The first qualifying session I just made a mess of. I couldn't get a lap together for the whole time.
"The car had good speed and I felt like it could have been in the top 5 easily. It was good to go out in the last session and actually prove it.
"We'll have a good race car for tomorrow but I'd like to make it a bit nicer for qualifying because at the moment it's too easy to make a mistake."
