Wilson shows his style on Canberra Street Circuit.

Max Wilson, driving Betta Electrical car 65 again displayed his unique style to large spectator crowd at the Canberra Street circuit today.

Wilson took part the top 15 shootout this morning, displaying his ability to perform beyond most supporters expectations.

Wilson finished in tenth position in the shootout, with a time 1:45.85. I really thought I would have finished closer to the front than I did, the car felt good and I just went to the limit he said.

This category of motor racing is so close in the area of times, with every team performing to their maximum, there was only two tenths of a second between all the cars competing in the shootout, which is quite incredible really!

Lady luck once again abandoned Wilson in race one, although holding tenth position ahead of Craig Lowndes on lap twenty, disaster struck when the near side front suspension broke, putting Wilson out of the race.

I was really disappointed he said, things were going so well for the team and the car was really handling it well.

I knew I could perhaps climb a few more places with still five laps remaining, well maybe tomorrow!

Tony Longhurst driving the Betta Electrical car 66 was black flagged early in the race for allegedly jumping the start, a point hotly contested by Tony, the red light was out before the car moved of the line - he said.

Longhurst continued to have a good steady race finishing in twenty first position after the Pit Lane drive through penalty, putting in his fastest lap of 1:46.23 on lap ten.

The drive through penalty was so wrong and I plan to object to that decision, it just did'nt happen said Tony, it cost me several places in the field!

I hope tomorrow's races are more friendly for the team, and that we are up amongst the leading cars again said Tony.
