Today saw the two Triple Eight Race Engineering BA Falcons driven by Paul Radisich and Max Wilson exceed all expectations finishing in the Top Ten during qualifying and the shoot out. Both drivers spent time earlier in the day setting up their cars during the two practice sessions.

"I was pleased with the car initially but with a little tweek here and there I found myself improving my lap times from eighth fastest in the in the first practice sessions to fourth fastest in the second practice sessions with a best time of 1:22.86." said Wilson. "I feel quite confident and the car is so responsive, it's a pleasure to drive." "I thought I would have finished a little better in the shoot out, but sixth isn't too bad," commented Wilson.

Radisich in car 88 struggled a little with the set-up of his car in the early stages of the two practices sessions, only to blast some very well known drivers out of the picture during qualifying to finish 4th fastest on the day, just 2 places behind team-mate Max Wilson in 2nd positi9on behind Marcos Ambros in the Pirtek Falcon.

"We as a team have just been rewarded for the long hours put in by all the team members over recent months, I trust we can carry this type of performance throughout the two, 250 Km race events this weekend," said Team owner, Roland Dane.

"The boys have really done a fabulous job in both building and preparing the cars, it has been very inspiring to all concerned." Dane added.

"We still have quite a way to go with our engine development program and we are not likely to see results from this until later on in the season," said Dane.

"I think we have a great package here, the car is very responsive and represents a great platform to build on." said Radisich.

"I think we will be in with a chance of finishing within the top ten in tomorrows first 250 km race, " commented Radisich.
