2 April, 2003 - The prizes and rewards continue to get bigger for the 2003 Ford Racing Kart Stars Series with Super Cheap Auto recently confirming that they will continue their association with the series.

Two of the drivers in the Ford KartStars Series will be selected to test drive the Super Cheap Auto Racing Falcon following the 5-round Series that begins on May 17/18 at the Raleigh circuit near Coffs Harbour, NSW.

While the drive may not necessarily go to the winner of the Series the two competitors will be chosen from the Top 4 finishers in the Series.

"I am delighted to gain the support of Super Cheap Auto Racing again," said KartStars organizer George Turton.

"It gives the drivers an extra incentive to finish high up in the Championship and for most of them it would be their life long dream to drive a V8 Supercar.

"Our aim as Series organisers is to ensure the talented drivers receive their just rewards and to provide them with a pathway in their Motorsport career."

This will be the second year that the Super Cheap Auto Racing team have supported the Ford KartStars Series with last year sponsoring the opening round in Canberra and providing two test-drives in the V8 Supercar as well.

While attending the opening round last year Super Cheap Auto Racing V8 Supercar driver, Steven Ellery was impressed by the close and tough racing that the Ford Kartstars Series provides.

"We think that driving a V8 Supercar is tough, this KartStars Series doesn't look like easy work at all," said Ellery.

"The karts have certainly changed quite a bit from when I was racing and you have to be so fit if you are going to be successful, both mentally and physically.

"I am delighted to be a part of the Series as it is giving a direction to a young drivers career."

He then went on to joke "I just hope that when they test in the car that they aren't faster than me."

The winners of last year's test in the Super Cheap Auto Racing Falcon were Adam Graham and Clint Cathcart who will make their debut in the National Formula Ford Championship next weekend at Phillip Island in Victoria.

The countdown has begun to the start of the 2003 Ford Racing KartStars Series with the opening round less than 6 weeks away.
