FPR reveals new look for 2006

FPR REVEALS NEW LOOK FOR SEASON 2006

February 26, 2006 - Ford Performance Racing (FPR) today revealed the team's new 2006 season livery at the FPR / FPV Family Open Day, which attracted thousands of blue oval fans.

As has been the case for all team livery designs, FPR enlisted the assistance of Ford Australia's designers to create a new team livery that makes a significant impact while retaining the team's identity. The new look FPR Falcons were received extremely well by the many fans who visited the team's state of the art Campbellfield headquarters today.

The bold new look once again takes FPR's bird of prey design to a new level, with the CAT FPR Falcon sporting an aggressive yet instantly recognisable yellow & black livery that is sure to be a hit with Jason Bright's ever growing legion of fans.

FPR Commercial Director Rod Barrett said, "I am delighted with the new livery for season 2006. Working with the Ford designers last year ensured that we had a striking design, that although is different for this year, retains the same character of past seasons. Our core group of nine major sponsors reflect the professionalism that is part of the FPR profile."

Mark Winterbottom's Ford Credit FPR Falcon uses the same design lines that now feature the bird of prey moved to the rear sides of the car. The car retains the familiar blue, white and red colours that the number 5 Falcon has become synonymous with in V8 Supercar racing over the past three seasons.

FPR also unveiled the team's vast new merchandise range at the Open Day, with Ford V8 Supercar fans taking this opportunity to be the first in the country to own the new look team gear before the 2006 V8 Supercar season starts on the streets of Adelaide in late March.

FPR Falcon drivers Jason Bright and Mark Winterbottom enjoyed a busy day of public activities, complemented by the hundreds of Ford Club members from all over Australia who proudly displayed their blue oval emblazoned cars at this major event which has now become a well established annual institution.

All funds raised from this special day (mainly from gold coin entry donations) will be donated to the Guide Dogs Association of Victoria.
