KELLY RACING LAUNCHES MEGA WHEEL SALE FOR V8 FANS ON BACK OF RULE CHANGE

Kelly Racing has been quick to react to V8 Supercar Australia's planned introduction of a control wheel, launching a huge sale of its wheel inventory just days after the new rule was confirmed to teams.

The first year V8 Supercar team has 168 rims earmarked for sale, including various models from A-Tek (6-spoke, 8-spoke and 10-spoke) and OZ (5-spoke and 16-spoke).

In an initial offering to the team's Kelly Gang membership group, the feedback was extraordinary.

Kelly Racing has decided to act quickly and offer fans a rare and unique souvenir for their prized V8 Supercar memorabilia collections, with the aim of starting the 2010 season with as many of the new Team Dynamics control wheels as possible.

"As of Phillip Island next year we have to run the new control wheel for qualifying and racing on all four of our team's cars so we would like to start the 2010 season on the new wheel so that we can run with the same wheel all season," said Kelly Racing's Joe Bremner.

"We were keen to get in early and kick off this sale of the current wheel inventory as it not only helps our team, it also gives the fans a chance to get the wheels at a very good price."

Kelly Racing's lead drivers Todd and Rick Kelly have already been busy signing the first batch of wheels sold to Kelly Gang members, with plenty of Artline textas at the ready to sign more wheels as they are sold.

Prices range from $150 to $250 each depending on the condition of the wheel (approximately 25 percent of full retail price for a new rim).
