DEWALT joins Larkham Motor Sport

Larkham Motor Sport is pleased to announce that they have formed a new "official supplier" status partnership with DEWALT Australia.

This in effect will mean that all power tool operations conducted by the Larkham Motor Sport race team will be done exclusively utilising the wide range of DEWALT power tools.

The DEWALT logo will now be a part of the livery on the Orrcon Racing Falcons when they roll off the ship in New Zealand.

DEWALT is one of the leading power tool manufacturers in the world and for 80 years, DEWALT has earned a reputation for designing, engineering and building tough industrial machinery.

Over the past five years DEWALT has been the fastest growing professional power tool in the world and is the number one selling brand of professional power tools in North America.

Orrcon Racing drivers Jason Bargwanna and Mark Winterbottom helped kick off the DEWALT "Drive 5" challenge at the Clipsal 500 last month.

In the DEWALT "Drive 5" challenge a member of the public can be in the running to win one of 8 trips to Bathurst a to compete for a Ford Falcon RTV Ute. All the public needs to do is drive five screws flush into a board located on the "Drive 5" challenge station in the fastest time for each region.

The "Drive 5" challenge stations will be located at selected V8 Supercar series events, industry locations and DEWALT retail outlets (check www.dewalt.com.au for details)

Team Owner Mark Larkham is confident that the partnership will produce long term benefits to both parties.

"For DEWALT the fit with V8 Supercar is an extremely good one, and provides a great opportunity to showcase their products in a high profile environment."

"The significant demands put on a V8 Supercar race team to deliver outputs that are well above the expectations of mainstream industry mean that failure in timing, quality or continued development has significant consequence. For that reason it was not a difficult decision to align ourselves with a brand of the quality and credibility of DEWALT. Our business relies heavily on power tool usage, so I say "lookout for the Orrcon Racing man with the yellow tool in his hand!"

DEWALT has a long history of involvement in motor sport throughout North America and are a corporate partner of Matt Kenseth who is the reigning 2003 Nextel Cup Champion.
