John Briggs of Briggs Motorsport and Guy Houghton CEO of Betta Stores Ltd. Jointly announced today the signing of Paul Radisich as driver of Team Betta Electricals car 65 in the V8 Supercar Series for 2003.

It was smiles all-round as the announcement was made, we are extremely pleased to have Paul on board with the Team, he will certainly bring a good deal of experience with him, having been two-time FIA Touring Car World Cup Champion. Paul also brings with him a following of supporters who have shown their loyalty over the past four years during Paul's time in the V8 Supercar events said Guy Houghton.

We know we can provide Paul with a new, well prepared BA Falcon V8 Supercar. With the enthusiastic, experienced team of specialist technicians behind him this team will give him possibly the greatest opportunity in recent years to excel in a category of motorsport that means so much to him said John Briggs.

I'm really looking forward to this season said Paul, I know this announcement is a little late coming. I have seriously considered the three options available to me. Taking all factors into account and after careful consideration, I just could not pass up the opportunity of the Team Betta Electrical race package.

I'm very pleased with the Briggs Motorsport operation and the team members that form an integral part of its success. I feel the team at Briggs Motorsport, supported by an enthusiastic sponsor such as Betta Electrical, definitely offers me the best opportunity to perform in this season's series. The new race format along with new car, new team and new sponsor will set me in good stead for better outcomes this year.

The Race Centre, located in Brisbane's Bowen Hills is second to none; it has every facility imaginable, We really don't want for anything.

The Team sponsor, Betta Electrical has been very supportive of my appointment and together we look forward to a great year of Motor Racing along with some very sound results for the team said Paul.

Dean Canto, recently appointed driver of the second Team Betta Electrical car 66, says he is delighted with the news of Paul Radisich joining the team and views the combination of drivers as formidable for this season. We will have strong cars and a strong team this year, I can't wait for the flags to fall Canto commented.
