MURPHY WINS AT MALLALLA
SUNDAY JULY 13 MALLALLA, STH AUSTRALIA: A record crowd came to farewell Aussie Touring Car legend and Popular Culture Icon Peter Brock but it was team mate New Zealand's Greg Murphy and former Bathurst partner Larry Perkins who stole the show at Mallalla in the penulitimate round of this years Shell Australian Touring Car Championships. Murphy took wins in the first two races then finished second to Perkins in race 3 to take the overall win from Perkins and series leader Ford driver Glen Seton. With only the Grand Final at Sydney's Oran Park to go only 4 points seperate Seton from fellow Ford driver Tasmanian John Bowe with the controversial Russell Ingall in third. Local driver former openwheel piolt Mark Poole inflicted a rare defeat on Melbourne's John Faulkner to take out the privateers battle.
