SYDNEY TO THROW UP EVERYTHING IN TITLE FINAL

Kelly Racing drivers Jason Bargwanna and Tony Ricciardello agree that this weekend's Sydney Telstra 500 will throw up a bit of everything as drivers and teams tackle the tough Sydney Olympic Park street circuit.

The final event of the 2010 season is also set to be one of the most action-packed, with the unforgiving nature of the 3.42-kilometre circuit combining with forecast showers to cause headaches for drivers and teams.

Bargwanna is noted as a wet weather expert, but even the driver of the #11 Rock Commodore is sounding words of caution ahead of this weekend's two 74-kilometre races.

Meanwhile Ricciardello will cap his first full season in the V8 Supercars Championship in Sydney as he aims to deliver his best results of the season aboard the #16 Stratco Commodore.

JASON BARGWANNA - #11 Rock Holden Commodore

"We could be in for an interesting weekend because wet weather and street circuits generally do not mix," said Jason Bargwanna.

"Having said that, I love street circuits and wet weather races, so I'll take whatever gets thrown up this weekend.

"I remember some of the wet races we've had in Surfers over the years and I got some great results there.

"When there are walls all around you and moisture on what is already a slippery and changeable surface, it's a recipe for disaster.

"It will be worth staying in the grandstands for because we might top last year's effort in terms of cars out of the race.

"So we will definitely be aiming to finish the year on a high but also play it smart. If you get to the end without a mishap you should be in for a good result.

"We have certainly not had the year we would have liked in the Rock Commodore so we want to end 2010 with a good result to give us confidence heading into next season."

TONY RICCIARDELLO - #16 Stratco Holden Commodore

"It's been a whirlwind year for me in my first full season in the V8 Supercar Championship," said Tony Ricciardello.

"We've had our ups and downs in the Stratco Commodore so now we are really looking to put it all together and have a great weekend to cap off the season.

"Street circuits are tough at the best of times but Sydney is so narrow and unforgiving that it can catch you out very easily.

"So right from lap one of practice every driver will have to be right on top of it, and on top of that, we have to plan for on-again, off-again rain.

"It will keep us busy as drivers but for the fans they couldn't ask for anything more really."
