Radisich counts the cost in first corner mayhem.
Paul Radisich found himself a casualty of a chain reaction of accidents at the first corner in Race One of the V8 Supercars at Albert Park today.
Radisich, driving the Team Betta Electrical Falcon Car 65 had nowhere to go when rounding the first corner with cars colliding in all directions. Radisich speared into the rear of Paul Weel's commodore car 15, after it had collided with Todd Kelly's HRT Car 2.
A disappointed Radisich just couldn't believe his luck with such a short distance having been travelled. Paul said he was really looking forward to a good result in today's Race One.
Damage to the car is relatively minor and the team will have it prepared for tomorrow's 12 lap Race two event.
Dean Canto, driving the second Team Betta Electrical Falcon Car 66 managed to avoid all cars in the first corner mayhem.
Displaying impressive driving skills whilst picking his way through the field to post an eleventh placing in the first 10-lap event.
Canto said, I was extremely fortunate to avoid all of the carnage at the first corner, I just held my breath and threw the car around the four cars spread across the circuit in front of me and managed to avoid everyone.
The race was fast and furious for the entire 10 laps, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed, he said.
Tomorrow's another day and we trust the Team Betta Electrical BA Falcons will be pushing for a top Five finish in the Twelve Lap Race Two event, said Canto.
