Briggs Motorsport announced today they will be testing four drivers at Queensland Raceway this Wednesday to select co-drivers for the up coming endurance races at both Sandown and Bathurst for the two car Betta Electrical BA Falcon Team.

John Briggs said "we hope to test four drivers for the positions, being Phillip Scifleet, Alan Simonsen, Adam Maccrow and Mathew White, all experienced drivers and we trust we can assess each individuals worth on the day".

"It is important that we find compatible drivers that can display ability, are super fit and can work with the team," said Briggs.

"With the Series being so close this year, it will be paramount to find a driver that can display both ability and consistency equal to the lead drivers, there just isn't room for mediocrity in these races", Briggs commented.

"I'm hopeful we can make an announcement by the end of the week, after the assessment has been made, in turn allowing us to continue planning strategies for the coming endurance races which form such an important part of the years series," Briggs concluded.

Meanwhile Paul Radisich continues to excel, by displaying the ability of past years and positioning himself 8th on the championship point's table after round 6 of the Championship Series conducted recently at Hidden Valley.

"I'm very pleased with the way the car is handling and the team has continued to master the set-up at each of the past three rounds of the series," said Radisich.

"I feel comfortable that the team is looking good for an impressive result in the balance of this years rounds" he said.

Dean Canto showed 'true grit' at Hidden Valley with a good result and endured the pressure placed on him by team owner John Briggs who placed him on notice to lift his game or he would be replaced.

Canto took the call and proved he has what it takes by improving on his past performances, " I am determined to do well for the remaining rounds this year and prove that I am worthy of the drive" said Canto.

"It is important to remain totally focussed with such close racing, you can't afford to take your eye off the ball for a moment, with only 1.3 seconds between the field, every tenth of a second counts". Canto concluded.

Both Team Betta Electrical Falcons will be lining up at Queensland Raceway the weekend after next, for Round 7 of this years V8 Supercar Series with the prospects of yet another top ten finish.
