Utes: V8 Ute Series 2010 canendar

2010 V8 Ute Calendar to celebrate 10 Years of the SeriesThe ten year anniversary calendar has been confirmed for the 2010 Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series protected by Armor All and will cover four States, one Territory and the land of the long white cloud.

As tradition will have it the V8 Utes will be back at their inaugural Adelaide Parklands track at the Clipsal 500, 11 – 14th March to kick off their 10th year.

V8 Ute Category Manager and SPHERIX, Partner, Mr. Bill West, is thrilled with the Calendar.

"We are extremely happy with the calendar and grateful to V8 Supercars for their continued support. I think it shows how far the V8 Utes have come as a category and it's great to know we are welcome back to our favourite tracks. We wish we could go all over Australia but unfortunately with only 8 rounds we can't be everywhere and this calendar reflects the Shareholder's wishes," said West.

For Round 2 the Utes will head to Winton Raceway, Victoria for their third consecutive year and then to the beloved Hidden Valley track in Darwin.

Northern Territory Major Events, General Manager, Paul Cattermole is please that the V8 Utes will be back in the Northern Territory on such a historic year.

"It will be great to have the V8 Utes back in Darwin. They are a crowd favourite and we are happy to be a part of their ten year celebrations," said Cattermole.

The Utes will continue the hot trail and head for the Townsville 400 for Round 4 and after a 2 year interval the Series, will make a return to both L & H 500 at Philip Island, 10 – 12th September for Round 5 and the Super GP on the Gold Coast, 21 – 24th October for Round 7. (The only event still subject to confirmation.)

Before they hit the streets of the Gold Coast they will return to the biggest Holden and Ford war pit of all, the famous Mount Panorama for Round 6 of the Series.

Final celebrations for the tenth year in Australian V8 Ute Racing will commence at the final Round at the Sydney Telstra 500 at the Sydney Olympic Park, 3 – 5 December 2010 where the historic Series winner will be crowned.

Negotiations are currently in play for an event in April 2010 at the Hamilton Street race. This will feature a combined field of New Zealand and Australian V8 Ute competitors in a 3 test race format for the Trans Tasman format. <pre> Below is a full 2010 calendar:
