March 22, 1964 -- A.J. Foyt wins the first Indy car race ever held at Phoenix International Raceway. It is Goodyear's first Indy car victory since the tiremaker's official return to racing.

March 22, 1980 -- Dick Barbour and John Fitzpatrick drive their Goodyear equipped Porsche 935 K3 to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 23, 1985 -- A.J. Foyt and Bob Wollek take victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 24, 1973 -- Hurley Haywood, Peter Gregg and Dave Helmick drive to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring. It is the first of 12 times Goodyear and Porsche combine to win at Sebring, the winningest tire/auto combination in race history.

March 24, 1984 -- Stefan Johansson, Hans Heyer and Mauricio DeNarvaez drive to victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

March 25, 1973 -- Henri Pescarolo teams with Gerard Larrousse to drive their Matra-Simca to victory in a six-hour World Manufacturers Championship race around the Vallelunga track near Rome, Italy. It is the first in a long line of Matra-Simca-Goodyear victories.

March 25, 1981 -- Goodyear collects its first victory in World of Outlaws sprint car competition when Sammy Swindell wins a 50-lap main event at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. Swindell eventually brought Goodyear its first WoO championship that season.

March 26, 1966 -- Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby give Goodyear its first victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring, driving a Ford X-1. Goodyear has won the race 19 times, best in the tire industry.
