Chris Amon and Lorenzo Bandini drive a Ferrari 330P4 Berlinetta
to victory in the 1000 kilometer sports car race at Monza, Italy (1967).
April 26
Lloyd Ruby wins the USAC Championship race at Trenton, New Jersey, USA,
driving a Mongoose-Offy (1970).
April 27
Jochen Mass, driving a McLaren-Ford, wins the wreck-marred and
shortened Spanish Grand Prix at Montjuich Park. Lella Lombardi finishes
sixth to become the first woman to score points in a World Championship
Grand Prix (1975).
April 28
Mark Donohue drives the Penske Sunoco McLaren M6A to victory in the
USRRC race at Riverside, California (1968).
April 29
A Porsche 917 is driven in public for the first time at the Le Mans
test weekend (1969).
