road race. He covers the 276.8 mile Grande Circuito della Madonie on
the Italian island of Sicily in 9 hours, 32 minutes and 22 seconds,
for an average speed of 29.06 mph (1906).

Tom Rooney wins the 75 mile American Automobile Association event at
Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA, in a Stutz Black Hawk (1927).

Graham Hill drives a Brabham BT34 to victory in the non-championship
F1 International Trophy Race at Silverstone, England (1971).
