The only American team in the championship, which will once again be working with Ferrari GT experts AF Corse on the operational management of the team, will be contesting the No.90 F458 Italia in the LMGTE Am category at all eight rounds including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The driver line up will include Enzo Potolicchio (VEN), who last year had class wins at the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and 6 Hours of Shanghai, plus two new co-drivers…new to 8Star but not to the WEC. Experienced Italians Paolo Ruberti and Gianluca Roda, who raced with Proton Competition in 2013, will be working hard with Potolicchio in 2014 to secure the LMGTE Am drivers’ title as well as that of the team after falling short by just one point last year.

Enzo Potolicchio: “Not many drivers have had the opportunity to win the World Championship two years in a row. The goal of repeating the victory achieved in 2012 at the 24 hours of Le Mans was cut short by a punctured tire after we were having a great weekend. For 2014, we have set our eyes on winning the 24 hours of Le Mans and repeating the team’s championship.”

Paolo Ruberti: “I am very excited to join 8Star Motorsport. Our goal is to win the championship. We know it is going to be a hard task but we have an excellent car, team and we are very competitive.”

Gianluca Roda: “I am very happy to join Enzo and Paolo, and I am sure this is a decision I will not regret as they are excellent drivers and persons overall. I am sure we are going to have a great season and all of the guys are very happy to get this season started with the #90 Ferrari.”
