It's official: Andrea Piccini will be with Lister in 2004 for the "LMES" and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Andrea Piccini first test on board the Lister Storm LMP was on November 28th and at that time the negotiations between the Tuscan and the English team were close to end.

But now it's official: Andrea Piccini will be participating in the Le Mans Endurance Series 2004 and the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans where Piccini will be defending the Lister.

The LMES calendar includes 4 competitions. Each one of 1000 km: May 9 in Monza, July 11 on the Nurburgring track, August 15 in Silverstone and to conclude on September 12 in Spa.

Andrea will also be a protagonist of the 24 hours of Le Mans on June 12th & 13th, 2004 The Lister Storm LMP's engine is a 6 litre V8, with 5990 cc and has 530 bhp. The gear box has 6 speeds and the aerodynamics is very refined. This is just a brief summary of the car's characteristics. For more information please got to www.listercars.co.uk

Andrea Piccini

"Lister and I have mutual respect and esteem for each other. The confirmation of this is the deal that we just sealed and I must admit that I am really satisfied.

The car has already proved to be fast in the last 1000 km of Le Mans where it was third on the starting grid. Moreover, Lister is concentrating on the car and the engine with the objective to make the car most powerful, trustworthy and safe: aspects that are crucial in long races. I would also like to add that we are also working on participating in the FIA GT. Our intention is to start up a winning program so we can be leaders in the touring category as well.

Nothing's official yet but it would be great to race in the LMES, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA GT! But what we need to work on now is on becoming leaders."
