After a very busy off season and only 12 days after its first shakedown the CA07 ran today at the Le Mans circuit.

With the first step into the Le Mans 24 H the test day has been a very fruitful working session for the team, with the brand new CA07 covering 64 trouble free laps.

The car's 100% reliability allowed the team to get focused on set up with a view to the qualifying. During the 8-hour session the team could test different Dunlop tyre compounds, front/rear aero balance as well as the differentials.

Jamie Campbell-Walter was the first to jump into the car this morning to start working on the set up, then followed by Shinji Nakano and Felipe Ortiz. All three have raced in Le Mans in the past but it will be the first time they will be racing together.

The best time was set by a confident Jamie Campbell-Walter in 3'34''398 (9th overall and fourth of the gasoline driven "LM" P1).

Team Principal Ian Bickerton commented "We have built our first all-new car after we have sold two cars (the two 2006 chassis) to America. It has been a very busy winter and spring for us but it is good to know we have got a quick and reliable car and a consistent international driver line up, which is a good start".

Jamie Campbell-Walter: "The new Creation car is two weeks old and today's result is very encouraging. I can not image what we could have done here with a few more test days at the Paul Ricard for instance. We are not "diesel fast" but I am pretty sure we have the potential to be among the best of the rest!"

Shinji Nakano: "I am very happy to drive for Creation this year. It is great to be in Le Mans again and especially to drive a brand new car that is so reliable and already performing. Unfortunately I could not drive as much as I would have loved to because of this afternoon's red flags"

Felipe Ortiz: "The car is quicker than the previous one and has a much better handling thanks to the wider tyres and longer wheel base. I am very happy with what we have done so far and personally I am quite pleased that I am four seconds faster than last year".

AIM's Chairman and founder, Yukinori Suzuki who flew from Japan for the occasion really looks forward to the race and is already thinking about Creation's next year racing program!
