Flying Lizard to Compete in the 24 Heures du Mans

March 9, 2005-SONOMA, Calif.-Flying Lizard Motorsports announced today the team's plans to compete in the 73rd annual 24 Heures du Mans, June 18-19 in Le Mans, France. The team accepted the first-round invitation from the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) earlier this year. The Flying Lizard squad will enter one Porsche GT3 RSR in the LM GT2 category. The team is one of ten GT2 entrants invited so far for the race, four of which are US-based American Le Mans (ALMS) teams. The Flying Lizard Le Mans driver roster will be announced later this Spring.

"The 24 Hours of Le Mans is undoubtedly the world's greatest sports car race. We are honored to be invited and are excited to be part--and honestly, somewhat in awe--of the tradition and competitive challenge it represents," said Flying Lizard driver Seth Neiman.

2005 will be the team's first time competing at Le Mans. Flying Lizard chief strategist Thomas Blam, who has worked with several teams at Le Mans in the past, added, "We definitely have our work cut out for us at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The preparation and planning that goes into running this endurance race is immense. We'll be working hard throughout the next few months to get ready for the challenge while we continue to focus on our goals in the American Le Mans series."

About Flying Lizard Motorsports

In 2005, their second year of competition, Flying Lizard competes in the GT2 class of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). This follows the team's highly successful inaugural season in which they finished second in class in both Drivers' and Team points in the 2004 ALMS championship. For more information on the ALMS, visit www.americanlemans.com.

The red, black and silver No. 44 and No. 45 Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs will run the entire 10-race ALMS 2005 season. The Porsches are sponsored by eSilicon, a semiconductor company that manufactures and designs custom chips for the world's leading electronics companies, and ShoreTel, a leading provider of enterprise IP telephony solutions.

The team is managed by six principals, including drivers Johannes van Overbeek, Lonnie Pechnik and Seth Neiman; chief engineer Craig Watkins; crew chief Tommy Sadler; and team manager Eric Ingraham.
