JOTA, Arden form racing partnership

The teams, two of the UK's leading race squads, have won races and titles in international motorsport and will use the new partnership to manage, advise and test drivers from sportscars to single-seaters and vice-versa.

The teams will carry each-others logos on their cars in 2016.

"It is something that I and the team have been thinking of for a while," JOTA Group partner Sam Hignett told Motorsport.com today. "We will be opening doors for drivers as we will have a sizeable resource pool for drivers and also engineering capability.

"If, for example, another big project came on the horizon in international racing, it is something we would look at as a joint venture. Likewise, if a second car in WEC was achievable, it would be something we could look at doing together.

"The collaboration is majoring on best utilisation of our resources."

Arden and JOTA have been influential in the careers of Vitantonio Liuzzi, Sebastien Buemi, Daniil Kvyat, Oliver Turvey, Mitch Evans and Harry Tincknell over the years.

With Arden set to continue in GP2 and GP3 in 2016, JOTA Sport has already announced it will step up to the WEC next season with an ORECA 05 chassis, as well as continuing to run a full season of ELMS with its successful Gibson 015S.

"We are delighted to be entering into a partnership with JOTA," said Arden's general manager Julian Rouse. "This is a new chapter for Arden and something that has not been done before.

"Working together on projects in both single-seaters and sportscars will be a real benefit for everyone involved and creates an exciting future for Arden and JOTA as a whole."
