Through the teams entering the car, the Signes-made prototype, powered by a Nissan V8 prepared by the ORECA engine department in Magny Cours, was successful on all fronts.

On the European level, the car won four of the five ELMS rounds, while on the international scene, the ORECA 03 took six of eight victories. And as a cherry on top to celebrate this 40th anniversary year, the ORECA 03 finished third overall at Bahrain, behind TOYOTA and AUDI. An impressive feat to top off a historic year.

Higher than 75% winning percentage for the ORECA 03 in 2013 !

The ORECA 03 LM P2 took part in 13 races in 2013 : eight in the FIA World Endurance Championship, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and five in the European Le Mans Series. That’s a 77% winning record in the races in which it participated ! An impressive statistic, that grows to 80% when taking into account only the ELMS, including the Drivers and Teams championship titles won by the chassis used by Signatech-Alpine, Pierre Ragues and Nelson Panciatici. Following Thiriet by TDS Racing’s 2012 title, the ORECA chassis keeps its crown.

In the FIA WEC the year was also impressive, notably for John Martin, Roman Rusinov and Mike Conway, the first LM P2 drivers to compete for the overall Drivers championship standings. The trio won four out of five races following the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June and were the first to give a Russian team a victory in the championship, G-Drive Racing.

An outstanding track record!

It’s simple, no other prototype won as many races this season. The ORECA 03’s season track record:
- 10 wins in 13 races, 6 in FIA WEC and 4 in ELMS
- 7 pole positions, 6 in FIA WEC
- 8 podiums finishes
- 9 fastest laps of the race

6 winning teams, 5 different countries represented…

The ORECA 03 LM P2 ‘s exceptional record is due to the hard work put in by ORECA Technology, but also thanks to the teams who entered the car designed and built in ORECA’s Signes workshops. Because it’s the diverse nature of the teams which characterizes the ORECA 03 wins this season.

Six teams reached the top step of the podium : Delta-ADR (Silverstone), G-Drive Racing (Sau Paulo, Austin, Shanghai and Bahrain), Murphy Prototypes (Paul Ricard), Pecom Racing (Spa), Signatech-Alpine (Budapest) and Thiriet by TDS Racing (Imola, Red Bull Ring). This represents five countries: England, Russia, Ireland, Argentina and France.

To date, since its debut in February 2011, the ORECA 03 LM P2 has garnered 18 wins: 3 in 2011, 5 in 2012 and 10 in 2013. Although such a good record may be difficult to best next year, ORECA’s customer racing program remains ambitious. The ORECA 03 LM P2 will once again race in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series.

In addition, there will be at least one entered in the United SportsCar Championship, with Daytona, Sebring and Petit Le Mans on the schedule. With that, the shared objective of ORECA Technology and the teams race with the ORECA 03 is to built upon an already stellar track record !
