SHAKEDOWN OF THE PEUGEOT 908 HDi FAP-PESCAROLO AT MAGNY COURS

The preparation programme for the 24 Hours of Le Mans is running fast and just back from the 1000 Km of Spa, a team of mechanics from Pescarolo Sport went to Velizy in order to complete the assembly of the "Peugeot-Pescarolo" they had started a few days earlier.

On Ascension Day, the smart raw carbon 908 arrived at Pescarolo Sport workshop in Sarthe, ready to receive its new livery.

Two days later was the great moment: the whole technical team and the drivers took possession of this fabulous 908 HDi FAP on the circuit of Magny-Cours. The weather was particularly fine and under the responsibility of Claude Galopin, Chief Engineer at Pescarolo Sport and under the supervision of Jean-Marc Schmidt, in charge of this operation and designer of all the systems and electronics of the 908, work could finally get started.

The main goals of this shakedown session were multiple. For the drivers, Simon Pagenaud and Jean Christophe Boullion, there was no problem, the first one already won the race in Spa at the wheel of the Peugeot and the latter participated to an endurance test with the works team at Paul Ricard circuit. On the contrary, Beno
