REBELLION Racing confirms Andrea Belicchi for 2013 season

The Italian driver who won twice in 2012 will again contest the the FIA World Endurance Championship with his long-time team. The season begins with the 12 hours of Sebring.

REBELLION Racing is pleased to announce that the team has renewed the contract of Andrea Belicchi for their 2013 campaign.

The Italian driver has been part of the team since the beginning and has successfully driven in GT, LMP2 and LMP1 with the Swiss team. In 2012, Andrea won two rounds of the LMP1 Endurance Trophy at Silverstone and Shanghai in the FIA World Endurance Championship on top of four other podium finishes in the year.

Andrea will start the 2013 season with REBELLION Racing in the USA at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

The full details of REBELLION Racing’s 2013 racing programme will be unveiled at a later date in January.

Andrea Belicchi commented : "I am delighted at the prospect of racing again with REBELLION Racing, it's my second family. The Team’s racing programme for 2013 is not finalised for the moment, but I am confident it will be a strong one. There is mutual trust between us and we will be looking to be in a position to win, no matter which championship or continent we’re racing on! The team and our technical partners are working hard on improvements for the car, there are many developments to come, and I am ready myself already to start the new season with REBELLION Racing.”

Bart Hayden, REBELLION Racing Team Manager added: "I am very pleased that Andrea will be with us again next season, he has been and remains a key member of the team. He is quick, reliable, loyal and he shares our great team spirit."
