RML Group Appoint Sales & Marketing Manager

RML are pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Danton as Sales & Marketing Manager. Simon will head up sales of all RML products including the new RML X-Power aftermarket performance parts range, the growing RML X-Pro range of professional motorsport equipment and RML Engines.

Daryl Cozens, Commercial Director, commented; "We are pleased to welcome Simon on board as he brings a wealth of experience to the RML Group as we continue to develop our product range and customer base. With RML X-Power we have developed an exciting retail product range and through RML X-Pro we will be offering unique products such as the BSS safety seat system. The introduction of our engine division over the winter has already attracted a number of new projects, a trend that we aim to continue".

Simon brings with him a wealth of engineering and commercial experience from a successful career with Cosworth Limited and the Royal Air Force (RAF). His most recent position as Commercial Manager with Cosworth saw him involved in a variety of customer oriented projects, including the Vanquish S project for Aston Martin, the CSR road and race engines for Caterham Cars and Cosworth's d-Power range of performance components. His strong engineering expertise was gained during a ten year appointment as a Commissioned Officer in the RAF where he was actively involved on a number of projects, including Tornado and Harrier fast jets.

Simon's appointment coincides with Mike Blanchet, formerly Head of Business Development, leaving RML after seven years to resume his motorsport and automotive business consultancy. Ray Mallock, Chief Executive, commented; "I would like to thank Mike for his commitment and hard work during his time at RML and wish him success for the future".
