PLEASANTON, CA (January 28) - Brad Furr Racing will run more than 90 races this season - almost half of them with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series - the team announced Friday. Furr will compete in 44 Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series events, 13 of which will be televised live in TNN. Furr will also race with the World of Outlaws Support Series. Furr opened the season in Australia, his first international racing experience. Three runner-up runs and a fourth-place finish tied him with fellow Californian Randy Hannagan in Western Australia's Speedweek championship point standings. Furr will open the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series season at Kings Speedway in Hanford, CA, February 25th. After running the first 14 events with sprint car racing's premier series, Brad will open the World of Outlaws Support Series' season at Lernerville Speedway April 14th. The support series already has more than 55 nights of racing on its inaugural schedule. Furr will return to the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series in August at the 40th Annual Amoco Knoxville Nationals, then finish the season with "the greatest show on dirt." Mike Harper will continue as crew chief for Brad Furr Racing, while Kole Kahne will be its crewman. The Sanmina Corporation will be the team's major sponsor. Eagle Chassis, Sander Engineering, Waterman Racing Components, MuddOff, PBS, Simpson, Carrera, Fuel Safe Racing Cells, Lee Manufacturing, UltraLite Brakes, Winters Performance Products, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Fibertec and Maas Brothers Power Coating will provide associate and product sponsorship.
