Countdown to the Mini Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway: 1 Day
Concord, NC-- March 12, 2009-- The 2009 Mini Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California on March 13-14 will be sanctioned by the World of Outlaws for the first time since 1992. In the nine days leading up to the two-day event that will pay $10,000 to win each night, nine different drivers currently competing with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series that have won at Silver Dollar Speedway will be highlighted in ascending order by the number of career wins they have at the always racy ¼-mile.
The final driver to be featured will be Tim Kaeding, who is a two-time winner of the Mini Gold Cup and also a two-time track champion at Silver Dollar Speedway. The native of San Jose, California won the Mini Gold Cup for the first time in 2005 and repeated that feat in 2007. He also has won preliminary features with the World of Outlaws during the famed Gold Cup Race of Champions three times in his career.
Kaeding has nearly 50 wins at Silver Dollar Speedway dating back to 1999, with the first of those coming in the Pacific Fall Nationals that year. In addition to winning with the World of Outlaws at the always racy ¼-mile, he has also been victorious with the Golden State Challenge Series and Civil War Series.
