Elden, Haudenschild Retain Pennzoil Sponsorship VERMILLION, OH (January 6) - Jac Haudenschild will be driving the #22 Pennzoil Maxim on the World of Outlaws tour again in 1997, team owner Jack Elden announced Monday. "We're happy to have Pennzoil back with us," Elden said. "A few months ago, they said they would no longer be sponsoring us. Then they called back and told us they had decided they wanted to sponsor us again." Haudenschild, the runner-up in the 1995 World of Outlaws point standings, was excited the team retained its Pennzoil sponsorship. "There was a time when we thought we wouldn't have Pennzoil sponsoring us," Haudenschild said. "But they came back with us. We're really glad about that. We'll be yellow for at least another year." Elden also announced that Forbrook, winner of seven Knoxville Raceway championships as a car owner, would be the team's crew chief this season. Dave Kinniard, who worked with Forbrook the last two years, and Paul VanBooren will also be joining the team. "Guy called me and told me he wanted to expand his racing career," Elden said. "He said he wanted to go racing with the World of Outlaws. "We had already hired him when Pennzoil said it would no longer be sponsoring us, but we have since rehired him. He should be a valuable addition to our team." Haudenschild, who drove for Forbrook in 1992, is happy to be reunited with his former teammate. "Forbrook and I won 25 or 30 features together four years ago," Haudenschild said. "He and I worked pretty good together. He's won a lot of races over the years with Danny Lasoski and some other drivers. "Forbrook is a good setup guy and he's good with motors. He's just good on everything. He's definitely a good leader, too. We're looking forward to having a good run with him as our crew chief next year." WoO
