The World of Outlaws return to New Egypt Speedway in New Jersey for the first time since 2003, on Sunday, May 20 for a full night of racing. The event will conclude a stretch of five races in a six-day period for the series.

The 1997 World of Outlaws Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year won the famed Knoxville Nationals last season, after four runner-up finishes in sprint car racing's biggest event. He has two wins at New Egypt Speedway in World of Outlaws competition, including the series inaugural visit in 2001 as well as in 2003.

Saldana, driving for NASCAR star Kasey Kahne is locked in an epic duel with Schatz for the top spot in the championship standings. The second-generation driver has five wins on the season and also has led the most laps, and is the leader in quick time honors, with four. The native of Brownsburg, Indiana and 1996 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year, set the track record in time trials in 2001 at New Egypt Speedway, with a blistering lap of 13.828 seconds. He has two Top-10 finishes in his three starts at the half-mile.

Daryn Pittman has competed twice at New Egypt Speedway in his career. He was the runner-up in the event in 2002, and backed that up with a very solid fourth-place effort the following year. He won a Crane Cams Dash at the half-mile in 2002. The former World of Outlaws Gumout Series Champion won earlier this season on a half-mile during the Florida DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park to open the season, as well as at Riverside International Speedway in Arkansas.

In that event the native of Clovis, California came home in the fourth spot. He won his first race of 2007 on a half-mile at Eldora Speedway in April, and also won on May 11 at U.S. 36 Raceway in Missouri.

Danny Lasoski, the 2001 World of Outlaws champion led 14 laps in 2003 at New Egypt Speedway, after winning the Crane Cams Dash to earn the pole position.
